Biography

Harriet started playing the violin when she was very young and started piano shortly after. She achieved her diploma on Piano in 2014 and on Violin in 2015. During this time she also achieved Grade 8 Theory ABRSM alongside grade 6 in Electronic Keyboard and grade 6 in Musical Theatre.

Harriet attended Junior Trinity on a Saturday before starting a degree in Music at King’s College London. She has been a member of many orchestras over the years and played at a variety of venues including the Royal Albert Hall, Royal Festival Hall and Cadogan Hall. She has also had the opportunity to play alongside members of the London Philharmonic orchestra and The Philharmonia orchestra.

Currently, Harriet is studying for an MA at Trinity Laban Conservatoire where she studies with John Crawford as an Alice Gertrude Pauline Hartley scholar.

Harriet is a member of ISM and as such has £10 million liability insurance.

Events

Over the years, Harriet has gained a lot of experience playing for a variety of private events. These include weddings, funerals, and award ceremonies.

Harriet has a large repertoire on the violin and is happy to play particular songs or pieces that you might want at an event. If you don’t have anything in mind, Harriet is also able to put together a selection of event-appropriate songs.

Rates:

£170 for an average of 45 minutes. This is subject to change depending on the demands of the event.

Teaching

Harriet teaches violin, piano and music theory to both children and adults. She believes in an individual approach to teaching and will be determined to find a method that works for you or your child!

She is happy to travel to pupil’s homes for these lessons and can also offer violin and theory tuition from her home in Greenwich. Harriet has done Child Protection training and is fully DBS checked.

Rates:

Half Hour – £20

3/4 Hour – £28

1 Hour – £35

(Rates include travel costs and will be lowered if teaching from home.)
